decomposition and decay

We often find it horrifying and disgusting, but it is actually quite fascinating. It is the most important component of circularity. The end of one lifecycle becomes the beginning of another one. So cool.

Driven by my desire for a snack, I ventured out into a lava field on my way to work to pick some blueberries. Then the mushrooms started grabbing my attention, and I was led to a few that were decomposing in the most colourful way. I had never before known that decay could be so beautiful.
